New menu structure, site look and feel, and password requirements

SendThisFile has updated the site's menus in order to reduce the number of dependencies on JavaScript, and to make discovery of many features more intuitive.

SendThisFile has also recently redesigned their web pages to have a more user-friendly Web 2.0 look and feel.

Per recommendation from Michael Horowitz' article, Sending big files with SendThisFile, we have increased the minimum password length. When registering or signing up, you will now be required to enter at least 6 characters.

SendThisFile.com rolls out its upgraded email "bounce" notification

The SendThisFile.com file download email "bounce" notification system gives SendThisFile.com users real-time information about the status of the file download email messages that are sent when they transfer files using SendThisFile.com.

A common complaint in the file transfer industry is, "My file uploaded OK, but my recipient never received it!" Telling senders whether or not their files have uploaded successfully is only part of the answer: Equally important is letting them know the status of the file download email messages that were sent to their recipients when their files uploaded successfully. The SendThisFile.com email "bounce" notification system provides SendThisFile.com customers the real-time status of the file download email messages that are sent to their recipients.

SendThisFile.com has developed software that takes the messages generated by the sending and receiving mail daemons, and presents them to its file transfer customers in a simple format, thereby providing real-time information about the file download email that is sent to the recipient after each successful file upload. Aaron Freeman, Chief Technology Officer for SendThisFile, Inc. said, "We appreciate the input we've received from our customers on this project. Our business customers are particularly excited about being able to know if there was a problem delivering the email that contains the file download link at the recipient's end."

SendThisFile, Inc. has operated its file transfer website -- http://www.SendThisFile.com -- since 2003. The website offers a wide variety of accounts, from free accounts for low volume users to Enterprise Plans capable of filling the needs of major multinational corporations and government entities that have to serve many users with maximum security. SendThisFile.com Introduces New Referral Program

The SendThisFile.com referral program rewards the existing customer, along with the new customer, when a new customer uses an existing customer's referral code the first time the new customer purchases a paid plan.

Existing SendThisFile.com account holders are encouraged to sign up for a referral code, and give this code to anyone they believe might be interested in having a paid SendThisFile plan. When a first-time customer signs up for a paid plan, both the current account holder who makes the referral, and the new customer, receive credits equal to one month's payment for the plan which is purchased by the new customer. Credits are automatically applied toward all eligible subscription charges monthly.

"We have had quite a few requests for referral plans," noted John Stephens, SendThisFile's Manager of Enterprise Sales. "In addition," he said, "it's only right to reward those loyal customers who bring us new business. We took our time to make sure this was fair and easy to use." John noted that the first sign-up occurred within a few minutes of the referral link being posted on the SendThisFile.com website. The first payments are scheduled for the 01 Nov billing cycle.
