  3. In the FileBox Name field, enter the name you wish to use to identify your FileBox.
  4. Enter the email address to which you want notification emails sent in the Email field.  By default it will use the email address that is registered with the account.
  5. If you want to password protect your FileBox, fill in the Password field. Warning: If you leave the Password box empty, anyone (including malicious users) will be able to send files to you without a password.
  6. Click on Add (or Update if you are returning) to refresh the page.
  7. Your unique account FileBox URL has now been generated. Share this link with others and they can send you files immediately. Clicking on this link will display your FileBox on www.sendthisfile.com.

Creating the HTML code to add a FileBox to your website

  1. Login to your SendThisFile account. The FileBox page will not display until you are logged into your account.
  2. Click on My Files in the navigation bar, then click on FileBox that appears on the sub-menu
  3. Fill in the FileBox Name field with the URL of the website on which the FileBox will reside (ex. www.layerz.com). This is very useful if you have more than one FileBox.
  7. Your unique HTML code has been generated so you may add file receiving capability to your website. The copy and paste field now contains the text you will need to add to your website, so that your visitors can send you files without leaving. The name of the website will appear in the field at the top of the page along with a Remove button.
  8. You can now use the free file transfer FileBox that is located below the copy and paste field to test the FileBox you just built.
  9. Put your email address in the Your e-mail field.
  10. Put a test message in the Message field.
  11. Browse for the file you want to send, or type in the complete path and file name.
  12. Click on Send and you will receive a notification email at the email address you entered in Step 3 above. A progress bar will appear below the File field. Once the file is finished uploading you will see the message File sent successfully appear in the Message field.
  13. Copy and paste the code into any page on your Web site.
