Enter an email address to which you currently have access in the E-mail box. SendThisFile® will send a verification email to this address to complete the registration process. [The email address must be complete, for example: yourname@yourdomain.com.]
Enter your password twice, once in the Password box, and once in the Confirm box. Passwords must contain only letters and numbers. Passwords are case sensitive.
Click on the Register button.
Check your email inbox for the verification email that we send to the email address you entered in the E-mail box in Step 1 above. The email might take a few minutes to reach you depending on the Internet traffic at the time.
When the verification email arrives, click on the ACTIVATE link and your registration will be complete.
When you see the message Registration is complete! your free account will also have been established. You will be able to log in to your free account in the Login and Send! area.
To change your password.
Click on the my account button on any screen.
Once on the my account page, enter your new password in the New password and Confirm boxes.
Click on the change button.
When Things Go Wrong
The Register button is clicked before an email address is entered.
You will get an error message, E-mail is required. Please try again.
Start the registration process all over again.
The Register button is clicked after putting in an email address, but before a password is entered.
You will get an error message, Password is required. Please try again.

An incorrect, or incomplete email address is entered.
With an incorrect email address, you will not receive our verification email. We can't help you, because the only email address we will have for you is the incorrect one that was entered in the E-mail box.
With an incomplete email address -- e.g., "bigbadbob" instead of "bigbadbob@domain.com" -- we will catch that one. You will receive a reminder showing that you must include a complete email address.
If you use our domain name when you put in your email address -- e.g., "bigbadbob@sendthisfile.com" -- you will not receive our verification email because you do not have an email account with us. You must give us an email address at which you are currently receiving email.
Two different passwords are entered.
We'll catch that one. You will see an error message, Passwords did not match. in the gray bar.
Start the registration process all over again.
Your email system blocks our verification email.
This can happen if your email system has a very aggressive spam filter. We try to keep our verification message simple, but we can't outguess everyone's spam algorithm. Check the folder your email system uses to deposit rejected emails.
Your inbox might be full, and your mail provider will reject our verification email. Make sure there is room in your account to receive our email.
Establishing a Free Account
Your free SendThisFile®account, including access to the free SendThisFile®FileBox, was automatically established as part of the registration process. See the logging in section under the help pull-down menu.
Establishing a Paid Account
You must be registered on the SendThisFile® website before you can establish a Paid Account. Once you are registered, a yellow my plan! button will appear. Click on the yellow my plan! button to take you to the page to register for a Paid Account.
Your Plan page
Select a plan by clicking on the appropriate spot next to the plan.
Enter your personal information and your credit card information.
Once you have completed all the appropriate sections, click on the submit button.
Your account has been successfully changed! page.
Upon reaching this page, your Paid Account has been established and your credit card has been charged.
Click on the "Click here to continue." link at the bottom of the page to go to your Paid Account.
Our accounts are set up to coincide with calender months. If you register
on any day other then the first of the month, during the next month or
two, we will charge your credit card a reduced (prorata) rate to get you
